From May to the end of August, Julianadorp transforms into one big sand spectacle. Impressive sand sculptures spring up at various locations in and around the village, telling stories about life by the sea, the beach, nature and the region itself. Each location has its own surprise, so you’ll keep discovering something new as you walk or cycle.

The heart of your journey of discovery is Strandslag Julianadorp. Here, you can start your day in a relaxed manner with a cup of coffee or an ice cream, then hop straight on a bike to explore the sand spectacle. You can easily hire bikes from us, allowing you to cycle from place to place along the beach, dunes and village without any hassle.

Along the way, you could, for example, stop for a coffee at beach bar Zee van Tijd, where you can look out over the coast whilst the sand art literally comes to life all around you. Or combine your daily shopping with a creative stop at the Dorperweerth shopping centre.

You’ll also come across the sand spectacle in other parts of the village: at the charming Loopuytpark, the green Landal Ooghduyne, the Junior College and De Riepel shopping centre, you’ll find smaller sculptures that will surprise you along the way.
