This morning we got up early and put on our coats for a long winter walk by the sea. It was one of those mornings when everything is just right: fresh air, a quiet coastline and the feeling that the world is slowing down for a moment.

We walked along the water, with the wind in our faces and the sound of the waves in the background. The beach feels different in winter than in summer. More spacious, quieter, purer. You notice how your head slowly empties and you automatically slow down.

Surprises along the way

During our walk, we were surprised by nature. Birds above the sea, tracks in the sand... and yes, even a seal that came to take a curious look. Such a small moment, but that's exactly what makes a winter's day at the seaside so special.

The dunes were covered in winter white. A thin layer of snow muffled every sound and gave the landscape an almost fairy-tale quality. Our footsteps remained visible in the sand for a moment, while the reeds swayed gently in the cold wind. It felt as if we were completely alone here, in the middle of a silent winter landscape.

Winter doesn't call for busy schedules or long-term plans. It's the season to get away from it all, get some fresh air and enjoy the simplicity. For us, winter by the sea remains perhaps the most beautiful season of all.

When will you come and get some fresh air by the sea?
